TREE WORK
Tree Removal + Thinning
Dead trees, hazard timber, and crowded canopy are the kindling a wildfire is looking for. We remove the risk — selectively, safely, and completely.

WHAT IS YOUR WILDFIRE RISK?
Not Every Tree is a Problem.
We Know Which Ones Are.
Wildfire doesn't need a forest — it needs ladder fuel. That's what happens when dead snags, low-hanging limbs, and tightly packed trees create a continuous path from the ground to the canopy. Once fire climbs that ladder, it spreads fast and burns hot.
Blue Pine Fuels does selective tree work: we identify the specific trees and limbs that create fire pathways, remove what needs to go, and leave your property forested and functional — just significantly less likely to burn.
Every job starts with a trained eye, not a chainsaw. We assess before we cut, and we don't remove healthy trees that aren't contributing to fire risk. Your forest stays a forest. It just stops being a liability.
THREE TIMES OF TREE WORK
The Right Cut for the Right Situation
Wildfire risk comes from three overlapping sources. A complete assessment covers all three — because addressing only one while ignoring the others leaves you with a false sense of security.
HAZARD REMOVAL
Dead +Hazardous Tree Removal
Standing dead trees — snags — are both a structural hazard and a wildfire accelerant. We identify, fell, and remove them safely, including those on slopes or near structures that require directional felling technique.
SELECTIVE THINNING
Canopy + Spacing Thinning
Overstocked forest is a fire's freeway. We thin live trees to recommended spacing — removing the weakest to strengthen the stand — so fire can't travel crown-to-crown across your property.
MECHANICAL EXTRACTION
Machine-Assisted Log Removal
Large volumes, steep terrain, and heavy timber require tracked equipment. Our machines access areas hand crews can't and remove material efficiently — so the job gets finished, not just started.
WHAT WE DO
A Complete Community Wildfire Mitigation Package
From the first board presentation to the final documentation package, Blue Pine Fuels handles every phase of a community-scale mitigation project.
What's Included
How We Work
We work with boards, not around them. Every community project includes a board presentation, a written scope your members can vote on, and a single point of contact throughout. No surprises, no scope creep, no handoffs to subcontractors mid-project.

WHO IT'S FOR
Tree Work for Every Scale
Whether you have three hazard trees on a quarter-acre or a hundred acres of overstocked timber, Blue Pine Fuels scales to the job. Homeowners can bundle tree work with defensible space clearing. Communities can contract for neighborhood-wide canopy thinning. Agencies can deploy us for large-scale fuels reduction contracts — we have the equipment and crew to match.
Don't Pay Full Price.
Tree Removal as part of a Wildfire Mitigation Plan is Often Fundable.
Federal spending appropriations, state programs, and local funds can cover significant portions of your mitigation costs. Most property owners and communities don't know this funding exists — we do, and we'll help you access it.
COMMON QUESTIONS
What People Ask about Tree Work
Will you remove trees I don't want taken down?
Never without your sign-off. We mark everything for removal before a single cut happens. If you disagree with a selection, we talk through the fire risk and let you decide. Your property, your trees.
Can you work on steep or forested slopes?
Yes. Our tracked equipment is built for terrain that hand crews and standard trucks can't safely access. Most of Central Washington's fire-risk areas involve some slope — we're set up for it.
What happens to the wood and debris after?
Your choice. We can chip material and spread it as mulch, leave bucked rounds for firewood if you want them, or haul everything off-site. We discuss disposal at the scoping stage so it's part of the job plan.
Is tree thinning covered by wildfire mitigation grants?
Often, yes — especially when it's part of a broader mitigation scope. We've helped homeowners and communities document tree work for DNR and USFS-backed programs. Ask us about grant eligibility when you call.
